As seen on the academic background tab, I graduate in electrical enginneering and
got a MSc and a PhD in automation.
Currently I am an Associate Professor within the Department of Computer Science and Statistics (DCCE) of São Paulo State University - UNESP. At this position I've been teaching, since 1990, courses mostly for the computer science majors (undergrad and grad students).
During this period I had a two years leave (1992 and 1993) to work as a guest computer scientist at Fermilab, in USA. There I started to work with performance evaluation.
Besides my teaching activities, I chaired the computer science major for about seven years (not consecutive two-years
periods).
Currently I'm the coordinator of UNESP's graduate program in computer science.
